World Class Fishing TROPHY Fishing AT Gods Lake Haven - Manitoba, Canada

Hunting

The massive area we hunt, north east of Gods Lake, has never before been commercially hunted and only scattered areas have ever been hunted at all. Most moose, bear and wolves will not have ever seen nor smelled a human, and simply die of old age. Accessible by helicopter, comfortable Outpost camps with hot showers and good food, offer exceptional hunting for very old black bear and monster Manitoba moose.

Our spring bear hunts run from June 1st to June 30th; our fall moose, black bear and wolf hunts from September 1st to October 10th.  We would do most of our moose hunting during the rut, from September 15th to October 10th,  when the moose are very susceptible to calling and makes for an extremely exciting hunt; however, in early September many moose are either along the rivers or are feeding on aquatic vegetation in the shallower lakes.

Each Outpost camp is located on either a series of rivers, or a series of lakes and rivers, where you can hunt at least 40 km of river or lake shoreline by either jet boat or conventional boats.

An added advantage is that at all the outposts, and when hunting from the main lodge, there would be very good fishing (walleye, northern pike and brook trout) available literally at our door step and the opportunity for a great shore lunch.

The setting of Gods Lake Haven is unique, situated at a former Hudson's Bay Company trading post, on a sheltered, scenic bay on Gods Lake. The Archives of Manitoba have records of the Hudson Bay Company's journal posts, correspondence books and accounting records dating from 1825 which give a glimpse of the day to day lives of those who settled almost 200 years ago.
